First, we hope that your family is staying healthy during our school building mandated closure. Our remote learning continues through the end of this academic year. We understand that families are dealing with a lot during this global pandemic so the Franklin Local Board of Education passed a resolution to allow pass/fail grading for this last grading period. Our teachers will continue to provide instructional materials online or in hard copy packets that are mailed each week. The last day that packets will be mailed is May 15th. Your school has communicated when work can be dropped off at the school. However, during the week of May 18th, work can be dropped at any school from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday. All school work is due by Friday, May 22nd at 3:30 p.m.
Secondly, Franklin Local is very excited to announce that applications for our Little Bolts Preschool Program will open on Friday, May 1st. Please visit the district website for information regarding student eligibility requirements, application documents, and directions on how to submit paperwork.
Lastly, our All Hands Food Delivery for school lunches and breakfasts will continue on May 4th, May 11th, and May 18th. The May 18th food bag will also include the meals for our last two days of school, May 26th and 27th. Then, our summer lunch program begins. We’ll have more details on summer lunch locations in a few weeks.
Please continue to listen to all call messages and check your email. Be safe. Be kind. Stay healthy.
