Franklin Local School District Community,
It is my great honor to be leading this wonderful district! As a lifelong southern Muskingum County resident, I am proud of our heritage and the community support for public education. My goal is to move into the 2021-22 school year with a new sense of purpose and a positive direction. Getting back to a “normal” year should be exciting for all of our students. During the last few months, I have been meeting with students, staff members, and community members. The common theme has been that the Franklin LSD is a place where students are treated like family and their best interests are at the heart of every decision.
You will find me at many of the student and community events during the year. Academics, athletics, and the arts are at the core of my educational philosophy. I want students to have a solid educational foundation and find something they are passionate about. My expectation is for the Philo staff members to help students guide them on this path. Students will be college or career-ready when they leave Franklin. I want to expand student opportunities and give them the tools they need to succeed. The mental health of our students and staff will also be at the forefront of our district.
I enjoy sharing all of the great things our students are doing, both inside and outside the classroom. Most of these items will be posted on my social media accounts that I will develop and share with the community in the coming months. I also encourage you to send me any positive student items to my email address at firstname.lastname@example.org. There are so many exciting things happening in Philo that I
do not want to miss sharing something! My door is always open and I am a firm believer in communicating Franklin LSD information to the public. I also encourage you to come out to a ball game, visit a musical concert, attend a play, or volunteer in a classroom. We are always looking for active community members to help our students.
